About Us
Beau Osteros
Beau instantly fell in love with the 49ers while watching the 1988 Super Bowl against the Cincinnati Bengals. Through the good years and the tough ones, his passion for the red and gold never faded. He lived in the Bay Area until 1997, when he moved to Texas, and he’s been there ever since.
Beau forms an instant connection with fellow 49er fans—especially those who live away from home—because they understand the red and gold standard. They’re die-hard football fans and truly the best fans in the NFL
In 2017, Beau met Dan Manos, a fellow faithful and die-hard Niner. They immediately bonded over their shared love for the team and decided to create a Facebook page for the 49ers Faithful. What started as a modest idea has grown into a community of nearly 400,000 members—the largest and most reputable 49ers fan page on Facebook, even with the constant battle against spam bots and scammers.
With its massive growth, Beau and Dan took the next step and formed an LLC to establish The Red & Gold Standard—a centralized hub where the Faithful can collaborate on events, tailgates, unique merchandise, and more.
